BABA IGBAGBO

BABA IGBAGBO (FATHER OF FAITH)

Baba Igbagbo, a tale I'll unfold,

Of Abraham, whose faith was strong, I'm told.

His heart filled with a divine decree,

A journey of faith, his life.

In ancient days, in a distant land,

Baba Igbagbo heard Jehovah's command,

"Leave your kindred and father's house,

To a land I'll show you, quiet as a mouse."

With a heart of obedience, he took his wife,

Sarah, his beloved, his partner for life.

They embarked on a path, uncertain and vast,

Trusting in Jehovah, the die had been cast.

Through deserts they traveled, under a blazing sun,

Their faith unwavering, their hope never undone.

Baba Igbagbo's trust, a beacon of light,

Guiding them forward, through day and night.

Years passed by, yet no child did they bear,

Their hearts heavy with longing, burdened with care.

But Baba Igbagbo, steadfast in his belief,

Knew Jehovah's promise would bring them relief.

And lo and behold, in their twilight years,

An angel appeared, allaying their fears.

Sarah, amazed, heard the joyful decree,

That she would conceive, and a son she would see.

Baba Igbagbo's faith, unyielding and true,

The foundation of a nation, through and through.

For Isaac, their miracle, was born in due time,

A testament to faith, so sublime.

In a moment of faith, a test he did face,

A sacrifice commanded, in a sacred space.

Baba Igbagbo, obedient without pause,

Raised his hand, ready to give the cause.

But Jehovah, in His mercy, stopped his hand,

A ram provided, caught in the sand.

Baba Igbagbo's faith, fully displayed,

A legacy of trust, that will never fade.

Baba Igbagbo, an example so grand,

His unwavering faith still echoes, across the land.

A lesson for us all, in times of strife,

To trust in Jehovah's plan, throughout this life.

So let us remember, this tale of old,

Baba Igbagbo, with a faith so bold.

His legacy endures, inspiring today,

A shining example, to light our way.

"Baba Igbagbo," we say with great awe,

A symbol of faith, forevermore.

May his story remind us, in every breath,

To trust in Jehovah's guidance, even in death.

BABA IGBAGBO.
